Attempted Murder: Arrest Made In Hoboken Shooting

A 19-year-old gunman was arrested in the Monday, June 6 shooting that left a 17-year-old boy hurt in Hoboken, city police said.

Halim A. Gilyard is believed to have been one of the shooters from the incident at 4th and Jackson Street, Detective Lt. Danilo Cabrera said.

He was arrested Friday, June 10 by officers executing a search warrant at an apartment building on 4th and Adams Street, Cabrera said.

Gilyard was arrested without incident and charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses, police said. He was then transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
